We encourage all men from age 50, or earlier if they belong to a higher risk group*, to seek professional advice and request regular tests from their own GP to establish any abnormality of the prostate. We encourage men to record and retain the results of all tests.
We are committed to raising the profile of prostate cancer in West and South Wales at every opportunity. We attend Health Fairs, County Shows and similar events, and give talks on prostate cancer from a patient’s point of view.
* At higher risk are:
- Men with a family history of prostate cancer.
- African Caribbean men.
- Men with a family history of breast cancer.
