We encourage all men from age 50, or earlier if they belong to a higher risk group*, to seek professional advice and request regular tests from their own GP to establish any abnormality of the prostate. We encourage men to record and retain the results of all tests. PSA record sheet.
We are committed to raising the profile of prostate cancer in West and South Wales at every opportunity. We attend Health Fairs, County Shows and similar events, and give talks on prostate cancer from a patient’s point of view.
* At higher risk are:
- Men with a family history of prostate cancer.
- African Caribbean men.
- Men with a family history of breast cancer.
Covid Restrictions
Due to the Covid Pandemic our Group’s Awareness events have not taken place.
We have started these events recently with a presentation given to employees of Sinclair Neyland in June.
Should any organisation wish to arrange an awareness presentation they should contact the Group.
